Thank you for your interest in learning more about our Girls on the Run (GOTR) volunteer coach opportunities.

General Information:

  • The program is offered twice a year:  Fall (Sept – Dec) and Spring (Feb – May)
  • Each program (team) has a head coach and one to two assistant or junior coaches

Requirements for Volunteering:

  • Genuine interest in leading a healthy lift
  • Interest in physical fitness or running
  • Commitment to the mission of Girls on the Run
  • Reliable, honest and positive outlook on life
  • Interest in the issues facing girls today
  • Desire to get involved in a nonprofit organization and help create awareness

CPR & First Aid Certification:

GOTR Head and Co-Coaches are required to be Adult CPR & Basic First Aid certified; Assistant Coaches-this an optional requirement.
